What is The GP20 and Why Did We Design It?
The GP20 is an innovative 2-in-1 plastic shredder and granulator. The machine includes a high-performance shredder suited for a wide range of polymer applications as well as a granulator that can create high-quality regrinds too. With its modular design, autonomous functions, and interactive displays, the GP20 is our way of enhancing the total circular solution for filament extrusion.
From the beginning, we focused on our filament makers, however, we wanted plastic waste to be recognized as a valuable resource without moving away from filament extrusion. Shortly after, we developed the SHR3D IT, which allowed us to move towards creating a complete circular solution within filament extrusion.
Since then, we’ve learned a lot about what a plastic shredder could and should do from our customers’ experience from the last four years. We constantly improved the design and abilities of the SHR3D IT to keep up with the needs of our customers and concluded that it was time to follow along with the range of applications that grew in size and complexity. It was time to evolve the shredding experience. Bring on the GP20 Series.

GP20 Shredder
The GP20 Shredder is a high-performance shredder suited for a wide range of polymer applications. The choice between 2, 3, or 7 teeth blades for a total of 14 blades allows for the best outcome of any application needs.
GP20 Granulator
The GP20 Granulator creates high-quality regrinds as the granulator’s knives cutting action remains consistent and clean to ensure small uniform particle sizes which check all requirements.
The GP20 Plastic Shredder vs the SHR3D IT
The SHR3D IT had the capability of following the needs of research projects and small-scale developments. However, when looking for a solution that can achieve about 3 times as much for large-scale developments, the GP20 gives the results that you need.
With users’ application needs growing, it was essential for us to follow along and provide a suitable and capable solution that can grow alongside each new project’s requirements.
We know time is of the essence for our customers, and many wanted a plastic shredder that could be automated to do the shredding for them while they focused on other tasks. But, next to the upgrades within autonomous settings, the most significant improvement we ensured would be part of our new plastic shredder is the enhancement of capabilities.
