Filament Maker X10 — cost & CO₂ model
Carbon saved by recycling your own waste
Method and energy figures from 3devo's Sustainability & Carbon Footprint Overview. Only recycled material earns a saving here — the virgin share is treated as carbon-neutral against imported filament, while all of the line's electricity is charged against the result. Real savings are therefore higher than shown, because the conversion, spooling and freight of imported filament are not counted.

Your overview:
How it works
An ROI figure is worth only as much as its assumptions, so all of them are here. Machine capabilities are quoted from 3devo's published specification, and filament prices are European market medians stated with the number of stores and listings behind each.
The feedstock prices are different, and you should treat them differently. They are indicative placeholders, not quotations. What a kilo of pellets, regrind or powder actually costs depends on the supplier, the grade, the region and how much you order — published prices for the same polymer span more than tenfold, from tonne-scale resin to small compounded bags. Nobody can give you a single honest number for that, so we have not pretended to. It is also the field that moves the result more than anything else on this page, which makes replacing it with your own quote the first thing worth doing — and the thing most worth asking us about.
What the model does not count
These are real reasons customers move production in-house, and none of them is in the arithmetic above — so treat the payback figure as the floor of the case rather than the whole of it.
Disclaimer
This model is a planning tool, not a quotation. 3devo makes no representation that any particular saving or payback period is achievable in your operation. Machine capabilities are quoted from the Filament Maker X10 specification; the published throughput reference is 1.5 kg/h with PLA as tested by 3devo, and this model deliberately defaults below it. Feedstock prices shown are indicative placeholders only and will differ from what you are quoted; pellet, regrind and powder pricing varies widely by supplier, grade, region and order quantity. Filament prices are European market medians collected on September 2026, stated per material with the number of stores and listings behind each, with non-euro markets converted at ECB reference rates. Recycled material from your own waste is counted at zero purchase cost. The currency selector changes the symbol only, it does not convert the figures.
