Windows 10 and Windows 11

Using DevoVision on Windows 10 and 11 is easy, just a matter of downloading and running the application without any installation required. Want to get started? Follow the steps below.

  1. Download the application below. The version should match the installed variant of Windows (32-bit or 64-bit). On recent hardware you almost certainly need the 64-bit version, but you can check using these instructions.
  2. Extract the zipfile you downloaded. Inside you will find the actual application along with some additional documentation. Extract these into some convenient location where you will find them again (no further installation is needed).
  3. Start the application by double-clicking the application file (with the ‘3d’ icon).

Once started, the application can be accessed through the system tray in the bottom right and the main interface will open automatically in a browser window.

Windows 8 & Below

Using DevoVision on Windows 8 and below is just a matter of downloading and running the application with only minimal installation needed. Want to get started? Follow the steps below.

To get started right away, follow these steps.

  1. Download the application below. The version should match the installed variant of Windows (32-bit or 64-bit). On recent hardware, you almost certainly need the 64-bit version, but you can check using these instructions
  2. Extract the zip file you downloaded. Inside you will find the actual application along with the driver files and some additional documentation. Extract these into some convenient location where you will find them again.
  3. Install the driver by right-clicking the file called 3devo-driver.inf in the driver subfolder and selecting Install.You might be asked to allow changes to your computer, if so, allow that. No further confirmation is shown, but if the driver is successfully installed, a popup should appear in the lower right saying “Next 1.0 filament extruder (COM..) installed” when your machine is first plugged into the USB port. If you previously used 3devoUpdate to update your machine firmware, or are upgrading from an older version of DevoVision, the driver is already installed on your system and you can skip this step.
  4. Start the application by double-clicking the application file (with the ‘3d’ icon).

Linux

Using DevoVision on a Linux environment is easy, just a matter of downloading and running the application without any installation required. Want to get started? Follow the steps below.

Note: Right now, we only support 64-bit Linux versions. Interested in a 32-bit version? Let us know!

  1. Download the application below.
  2. Extract the zip file you downloaded. Inside you will find the actual application along with the driver files and some additional documentation. Extract these into some convenient location where you will find them again.
  3. Start the application by clicking the main executable in your file browser, or start it in a terminal.

Once started, the application can be accessed through the system tray in the bottom right and the main interface will open automatically in a browser window.

Unfortunately, DevoVision is not compatible with MacOS. There is no current development to support this platform.
