DevoTraining
In-Depth, Hands-On Workshops
Filament Extrusion Training For Professionals
“The new hands-on program, DevoTraining, brings extrusion and materials knowledge to individuals and teams hoping to learn how to get professional results… it’s critical that they have the resources available to train up.”
− Fabbaloo
DevoTraining are in-depth, hands-on workshops on desktop filament extrusion. Helping to equip you with practical and up-to-date knowledge of filament making and plastic recycling. Guiding you towards solutions by our team of engineers and material scientists.
Learning extrusion by doing!
Filament extrusion and 3D printing practically go hand-in-hand. However, some survive without any knowledge of filament extrusion and still be proficient in the latter. It ultimately comes down to what industry you are in, and if you need this knowledge on a regular basis.
This course will benefit if you are:
At a university or any other educational institution that focuses on polymer studies.
An individual or team that often experiments with a variety of different filament
One who would like to turn failed 3D prints and recyclable materials into a 3D printing filament.
If 3D printing is used as an on-going process; Such as automotive, manufacturing, and other material industries.
DevoNovice (half day / 4 hours)
DevoProficient (one day / 8 hours)
DevoMaster (two days / 16 hours)
How is 3devo’s filament extrusion training different from other extrusion courses?
3devo’s DevoTraining programs are designed for professionals who are looking to get the best results from their filament makers. Unlike generic tutorials about filament extrusion, these hands-on workshops focus on the practical realities of developing quality filament from your desktop machine. Our experienced engineers and material scientists will train you to use the 3devo Precision or Composer Filament Maker for applications specific to your industry, and help you maximize your material making efficiency.
Can this course be customized for one’s specific needs?
Yes! We offer multiple options depending on your specific training requirements. The DevoTraining workshops range from 4-hour modules covering filament extrusion basics, to intermediate and advanced courses spanning 1 or 2 days and covering additional aspects of filament making, machine maintenance, custom material development, and plastic recycling. For any assistance with choosing the perfect course or customizing it for your needs, contact our sales team.
How do I know which course will benefit me most?
Broadly, the three DevoTraining workshops (DevoNovice, DevoProficient and DevoMaster) correspond to basic, intermediate and advanced level training. Your ideal choice will depend on your existing knowledge and experience in filament extrusion, and the applications for which you’ll be using your 3devo Precision or Composer Filament Maker. Take a look at the side-by-side comparison of the three courses, and feel free to contact our sales team.
Can I bring multiple participants?
Yes! You can bring up to 4 participants for the DevoTraining Course without any additional charges. We have a group limit of 4 to ensure all the participants of the DevoTraining Course can make the most out of the personalized extrusion training. If you would like to bring more than 4 participants, it is recommended to reach out to sales, to determine if special arrangements can be made you. For more information, please contact our sales team.
I can’t make it to 3devo’s headquarters in Utrecht. Can I do the course online?
Unfortunately not. At this time, we’re focused on providing hands-on training to our workshop participants, and the equipment, resources and material development expertise available at our Utrecht headquarters all play a big role in the success of the DevoTraining courses.
Can I take this course before I buy a 3devo machine?
Yes! You don’t need to own a 3devo Filament Maker or have any prior knowledge of filament extrusion in order to take a DevoTraining course. In fact, we’d like to address any concerns you have about using our filament makers. If you’re unsure about the filament quality our machines will be able to achieve with a specific material, you can additionally request a Material Test. Our extrusion specialists will test out your material and verify its compatibility with our machines. For more details, please contact our sales team.
